  COL. JIM COOK (USMC RET.) TO FORMALLY ANNOUNCE CANDIDACY FOR CALIFORNIA STATE ASSEMBLY, 10th District
Announcement Scheduled for Monday (MLK Day), Jan. 16th in Elk Grove


ELK GROVE: On January 16th, Jim Cook will gather with friends, family, community leaders, and fellow veterans at Laguna Creek High School in Elk Grove to announce his candidacy as a Democrat for the California State Assembly, 10th District.  Cook’s remarks are expected to last approximately 30 minutes, including a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and an overview of his lifelong dedication to public service (in the Marines, as a public school teacher, and as a Law Enforcement/Corrections Officer), legislative priorities, and plan for the campaign that lies ahead. He will be available for interview with reporters immediately following the announcement
